Sarah L. Smith, Esq

Sarah L. Smith, Esq - Senior Attorney

She prides herself on responsiveness and transparency so it’s not uncommon to receive a thoughtful reply email on a Saturday, sent somewhere between ski runs. This is the same commitment she brings to her practice every day: steady, engaged, and unwaveringly focused on her clients’ peace of mind.

More than an advocate, she is an empathetic listener who believes that strong representation begins with transparency, trust, and a genuine understanding of her client’s concerns. Her practice is defined by a commitment to ensuring that clients feel informed, supported, and confident at every stage of their legal matter.

With over five years of legal experience following admission to the Bar, Sarah brings a thoughtful and disciplined approach to complex legal issues. Her academic foundation reflects both rigor and depth: she earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law, along with a Certificate in Native American Law, and further advanced her expertise with a Master’s Degree in Natural Resources Law from University of Denver Law. Her undergraduate studies in Environmental, Soil, and Water Science at the University of Arkansas provide a unique, technical perspective that informs her legal analysis and straight-forward problem-solving. During law school, she expanded her commitment to service through internships with the Legal Aid Society of Hawaii in Honolulu and the Tulsa county District Attorney’s Office. In Washington State, she continues to give back by answering veteran’s inquiries as a pro bono volunteer to the Attorney General’s Office of Military and Veteran Legal Assistance inquiries. Sarah has insight into the unique challenges of veterans as someone who has been both enlisted and an officer in the Air Force National Guard for almost two decades.

This blend of knowledge and human-centered advocacy defines her legal practice. Sarah understands that meaningful results are achieved not only through careful preparation and strategic thinking, but also through clear communication and steady guidance. Her clients know where they stand, what comes next, and why each decision matters.

Outside the office, Sarah draws energy and balance from the natural landscapes of the Pacific Northwest. Whether hiking and cycling in the summer or skiing in the winter, she values the discipline, perspective, and resilience that time outdoors provides. Wherever she is, however, her clients are never far from mind.
