Roger Leishman serves as Senior Counsel at Family Law Complex Litigation Advocacy PLLC, where he focuses on family law, appellate advocacy, and complex litigation. He is widely recognized for his meticulous preparation, precise legal analysis, and ability to present complex legal issues with clarity and persuasive strength. His disciplined and strategic approach enables him to effectively advocate for clients in high-stakes and sensitive family law matters.

Roger brings a distinguished record of professional integrity and leadership within the legal community. He has served as a Hearing Officer for the Washington State Bar Association, where he was entrusted with adjudicating attorney discipline and bar admission matters reflecting both his deep understanding of legal ethics and the confidence placed in his judgment. His experience handling sophisticated legal disputes and advising at high levels provides him with a unique perspective that strengthens his approach to complex family law litigation.

A graduate of Yale Law School, Roger served as Articles Editor of the Yale Journal of International Law, demonstrating a strong foundation in legal scholarship and written advocacy. He earned his undergraduate degree from Brigham Young University, graduating valedictorian, summa cum laude, with University Honors in English. His academic achievements continue to shape his clear, compelling written and oral advocacy.

Roger has also demonstrated a long-standing commitment to leadership and service. He has served on the Board of Governors of the Washington State Bar Association, chairing both the Diversity Committee and the Hearing Officer Selection Committee. He also led statewide efforts to expand opportunities within the legal profession and has been actively involved in civil rights and community-focused legal initiatives through the ACLU of Washington. In addition, he contributes his time as a volunteer attorney, supporting programs that provide legal assistance to underserved communities.
